News Sociology Major Illustrates Mass Incarceration through Art

Lawson Schultz, a junior honors sociology major, used the final project in her ceramics class to illustrate mass incarceration in the United States. Through the use of cardboard, hot glue, and paint she created a map of the U.S. Each layer of cardboard represents five thousand people in prisons in each state.
