BodyText1
Dr. Ellen Donnelly and Dr. Karen Parker (Co-PIs) were awarded a grant by the State of Delaware- Administrative Office of the Courts to explore how ecological inequalities in local communities shape interactions with the Delaware justice system. The project is entitled "Examining the Social Causes of Arrests and Criminal Processing in Delaware." This research uses geographic mapping and large-N empirical analyses to understand the legal and extralegal sources of disparity in the State's criminal processing practices. Dr. Tanya Whittle, a UD Sociology and Criminal Justice Ph.D. alum, is coordinating research efforts at AOC.
