News Criminal Justice Professors to Partner with the Urban Institute

The Center for Drug and Health Studies will be a research partner in the Prison Research and Innovation Network with the Urban Institute (UI). Delaware was one of the five states selected to participate in the program. According to the UI, this initiative will work to “spur innovation to make prisons more humane, safe, and rehabilitative”. Dr. Christy Visher, Director of CDHS and Professor in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice and Dr. Daniel O’Connell, a CDHS Senior Scientist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice are Co-Principal Investigators directing the research component in Delaware.
