Biography
Ethan Jian is a doctoral student in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice. He earned his Bachelor's degree at Central Police University in Taiwan in 2015 and completed his Master's degree at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in 2021. He has worked as a police detective working at the Criminal Investigation Bureau in Taiwan for six years. Ethan's broader research interests include policing, police decision-making process, police mental health, and police use of force. His current work includes research projects on internal and external procedural justice and the impacts of critical incident history on police officers' mental health.
