Monica Sanders

     Sociology and Criminal Justice professor Monica Sanders was recently selected as a VIP contributor for the 2020 Transatlantic Security Jam. She will be leading debate and analysis on the topic of  “Cooperation and Autonomy: The Global Role of the EU post-COVID-19”. This will take place online from May 12 at 15:00 (CET) to May 14 at 17:00 (CET). This focus of this year's event is “Securing the Post-COVID Future”. 

    The Jam is a gathering of international security, climate change and peace experts which gathers every four years. It's aim is to gather perspective, survey research and expertise which is used to influence international policy. It is hosted by Friends of Europe, a think tank led by former NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General, Jamie Shea.

    The organizational mission is "Shaping global change as an independent and nonpartisan think tank for lively policy reflection and debate, producing concrete recommendations to tackle the evolving challenges of our times." The research and policy guidelines are sought after by a number of international organizations and governments.
