Biography
Rachael Miller is a PhD student in the department of Sociology and Criminal Justice at the University of Delaware. She received her BA and MA in Sociology from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs. Her Master’s thesis was titled “Crime and Sexuality: A life-story analysis of Queer individuals’ experiences with law enforcement and the criminal justice system,” which focused on the relationship between Queer individuals and the legal system in a predominantly conservative city. Rachael presented this research at the American Society of Criminology conference in San Francisco November 2019. During her graduate studies at UCCS, Rachael earned two advanced graduate certificates in Diversity Studies and Advanced Research Methods. Currently, Rachael is working on several publications and preparing for presentation at the Mid-South Sociological Association virtual conference in October.
